The cancer that initiates in the various layers of the skin by malignant growths occurring anywhere on the body is what the skin cancer is. Occurring in basal cells, squamous or melanoma cells of the skin, this is although an earliest detectable type of cancer and the death rate is also very less as compared to all the other types.

The common cause of occurrence of skin cancer is the direct exposure of skin to harmful radiations that even the sun screens cannot protect from penetration inside the body. Occurring because of direct DNA damage, it initiates by skin ailments that remain untreated by the normal treatment methods.
